Our aim, at Nancealverne School, is to have a vibrant and wide-ranging inclusion programme that offers opportunities to as many pupils as possible and that welcomes approaches from the wider community. We are keen for our young people to work and socialise with their mainstream peers and for them to access some of the specialist facilities in our local schools.
Responses from pupils and their peers in partner schools highlight the great benefits of inclusion activities for everyone.
We work with many partner schools, including Pensans, St Maddern's, Mounts Bay Academy, Alverton and Ludgvan. Our inclusion activities range from pupils attending lessons with their mainstream peers in local school to larger joint projects with schools. We also join in with local community events, such as the Mazey Day Parade and St Piran's Day Parade in Penzance Town Centre.
