 The Special Partnership Trust Traded Outreach Proposal

 

(Available from January 4th 2018)

 

The Special Partnership Trust Outreach Service is a co-ordinated team of specialist staff – Support staff, Teachers and Senior Leaders.

This Service can provide purchasable training/development/support for staff in mainstream schools, ARB or specialist settings, to support the needs of an individual child or young person or group of children with like needs. This will allow staff to build upon their existing skills, knowledge and expertise so that they are better equipped to cater for those children and young people with SEND in their care.

The Service can offer, but is not limited to:

 

-an annual programme of training opportunities, to include training on specific teaching strategies and mandatory training;

-bespoke training sessions to address particular needs;

-drop-in sessions for discussion and problem solving;

-support in the assessment of pupil needs;

-observation of pupils and suggested interventions;

-advice on current practice, including sharing concerns, enabling more successful planning for individual pupils, including EHC plan review, preparation and delivery observation and feedback to teachers and support staff;

-advice on differentiation to enable pupils to access the curriculum to their full potential;

-support with communication needs where children do not meet the criteria for service involvement;

-support in drawing up of individual personal care plans;

-support in creating of wellbeing profiles regarding SEMH and behavioural needs;

-identification of appropriate resources;

-Advice and guidance from ASD champions;

-Creation of PMLD or multi-sensory curriculums;

-Supporting INSET.
