Dear Parents and carers,
It has been another busy and exciting fortnight here at Nancealverne School, with a variety of activities, opportunities, and achievements enriching our school community. I’d like to take a moment to highlight some of the wonderful events and initiatives that have taken place over the last two weeks:
Science Week – A Celebration of Discovery
Our annual Science Week was a fantastic success, with students of all ages diving into the wonders of the natural world. From hands-on experiments to thought-provoking demonstrations, the week was full of excitement and learning. The enthusiasm of our students was truly inspiring as they explored new concepts and engaged with science in ways that made it come alive. A big thank you to all the staff, especially our science lead, Alex Cooley for his hard work, organisation and commitment to ensure the week was an engaging experience for all students. I would also like to than our students for their curiosity and passion for discovery.
Sixth Form Enterprise Project – Plant Sale
In addition to their academic work, our Sixth Form students have been showcasing their entrepreneurial skills as part of their Enterprise Project. As part of this, they held a hugely successful plant sale, where they sold a variety of plants grown by the students themselves. The sale not only gave them the chance to practice business skills such as marketing, budgeting, and customer service, but also allowed them to make a positive impact on our school community. It was inspiring to see their hard work pay off, and I am proud of their initiative and creativity.
Primary Trips to Tehidy Woods – A Nature Adventure
Chestnuts class had a fantastic time on their recent trips to Tehidy Woods, where they enjoyed a day of outdoor learning and exploration. With the guidance of our wonderful staff, the children had the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, discovering trees and wildlife, learning about environmental conservation, and enjoying the fresh air. It was a truly memorable experience for our young learners, and we look forward to many more outdoor adventures in the future.
As always, I am incredibly proud of the achievements of our students and the commitment of our staff to providing a diverse range of opportunities for all. There is so much more to look forward to in the coming weeks, and I am excited to see what our students will achieve next.
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to sharing more updates with you soon.
