Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you all had a wonderful half-term break and got to enjoy some much-needed sunshine.
Just to confirm that we have unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, had to cancel our school visit to Flambards next Wednesday 12th June. We hate to disappoint any of our students and are so sorry that we have to cancel the trip. Wednesday 12th June will be a normal school day.
Now we are in the final term of the academic year, we have a number of events coming up which we will communicate with you over the next few weeks.
I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of regular school attendance. Consistent attendance is a critical factor in your child's education.
Our school day begins at 9.10am. Unfortunately, we do not have staff available in the classroom before this time, so please wait to bring them to the door until the school day starts.
We understand that there may be circumstances where your child cannot attend school due to illness or a family emergency. In these cases, please notify the school as soon as possible. If you know your child is going to need to be absent during school time, please speak to one of the office teams to get an absence request form and return it, so we can look at your request. Please note this is only for exceptional circumstances. Thank you again for your support with this.
As usual, if you need to reach out to a member of our home/school liaison team Lauren and Steph are always available for a chat - either ask for them at reception or drop them an email on: lladd@nancealverne.org.uk/sholmes@nancealverne.org.uk
Best Wishes,
Lauren Ladd (Inclusion Lead)
