ISSUE 025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to the latest edition of our school newsletter! It has been such a wonderful and busy week here at school. We were very hopeful that we could finish the week with a sports day extravaganza, but unfortunately the weather was against us. We'll try again next week!

Please see below for details of Watersports, Pizza Making, Mock Elections, Duke of Edinburgh and the Careers Festival. We are very proud of all that our students achieve. They really do make the most of every opportunity.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Warm Regards,

Pippa

Morrisons - 'Ask for Henry'

Morrisons Cafe have brought back their 'Ask for Henry' initiative where any customer who 'Asks for Henry' between July 1 and July 14 will receive a complimentary jacket potato topped with Heinz Cheesy Beanz - no questions asked.

And if free jacket potatoes wasn't enough, the retailer is also giving away free jam donuts when customers purchase any hot drink in a Morrisons Café.

We are thrilled to congratulate each one of our students who took part in the incredible achievement of completing your Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award! This accomplishment is a testament to your dedication, perseverance, and commitment.

As part of the expedition, students walked from the Coastguard hotel in Mousehole to Long Rock car park, stopping for lunch in the Boating Lake on the prom. They made spaghetti bolognese on the camping stove and then had custard or rice pudding for dessert with a hot drink. After returning to school, the students pitched tents on the school field, made sausage, mash and chips for tea on the stove with dessert. Some students then camped overnight on the school field, before waking up to Eggy bread, bacon, sausages and an assortment of pastries!

The students then began day 2 of the expedition, starting at the top of Marazion and began heading towards Penzance. They stopped at Long Rock to cook burgers, couscous and salad. Then they walked back to school to finish and have a well-earned rest!

We are immensely proud of what you have accomplished and are excited to see how you will continue to challenge yourselves and make a positive impact in the future.

As it was the general election this week, we held our own version at school this week with students casting their vote for which film they would like to watch at the cinema on a school visit!

With an overwhelming majority, the winner was-INSIDE OUT 2!
