Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Our First Newsletter of the Year!

We are delighted to share that we’ve had a fantastic start to the new term, with all our pupils returning so positively. Although January has felt like a long and rather rainy month, we have seen so many moments of happiness and achievement across the school.

Our pupils have been engaging in some wonderful community visits, including trips to the shops, which have been great opportunities for learning and building confidence in real-world settings. It’s always a joy to see them out and about, interacting with the local community.

A quick reminder about the importance of punctuality—please ensure your child arrives on time. If your child is going to be absent, do let us know as soon as possible, otherwise, you will receive a follow-up call from the school.

As always, if you need any support or information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Home School Liaisons, Beth or Lisa. They are here to help with anything at all!

Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to a positive and productive term ahead!

Students from our upper site have visited Camborne College this week to explore the various academic and vocational opportunities available to them. This visit will give them the chance to learn more about the courses and programs on offer, helping them determine if the college is a place they would like to attend after leaving school. The visit marks the beginning of several weeks of similar trips to both academic and vocational institutions, allowing students to make informed decisions about their next steps in education and career paths.

This half term Sycamore class have been exploring their topic of "We're going on a journey" through exploration of a number of sensory stories. We have been looking at a range of environments including Space and the Arctic.

A highlight of the term has been our weekly messy paint sessions on a Friday.
