Dear Parents and Carers,

Red Nose Day is on Friday the 17th of March this year, and we have got some great fundraising ideas and fun things planned for the school day including a student bake sale and classroom quiz!

You will have received a letter this week about donations for our hamper raffle. We are welcoming donations from now and raffle tickets will be available to buy from the school office (either in person or over the phone) on Monday. Just a reminder the coloured donations we need are: Primary classes - Red, Secondary Classes - Blue, Sixth form - Yellow.

Students are also invited to come to school in non-uniform or, if they would like to, they can come in something red.

If you have any questions please email me on: lladd@nancealverne.org.uk - We look forward to your donations and having a great day next Friday!

Best wishes,

Lauren

Careers Fayre

We'd like to say a huge thank you to the providers, parents and students who came along to our Careers' fayre on Tuesday the 7th.

It was a fantastic event with a busy atmosphere and lots of information being gathered.

We hope to run another event in the Summer so stay tuned for more information on this.

Our next coffee morning will be on the 27th of March 2023 at 10.15am.

We will be joined by Jamie to talk about E-Safety and navigating the online world.

Let us know if you can attend by emailing: lladd@nancealverne.org.uk.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

But please note, there will be loud and repeated noises, which may affect some participants who would benefit from bringing a noise-cancelling headphone with them.

If someone came up to you in the street and asked for your address and phone number - would you give it to them?

No!

Sometimes just filling in a form online seems harmless, or talking to someone new on a forum seems like making friends, but it isn't always that simple.

Everyone uses the Internet at some point.  We want you to know the risks whilst enjoying it safely.  More importantly we want you to know how to avoid the horrible stories you sometimes hear about whilst enjoying the unbelievable amount of resources and knowledge on the Internet.

Have a look at the tips above and come along to our coffee morning to learn more.
