ISSUE 016

Dear Parents and Carers,

This half-term seems to be racing by! As we approach the Easter break, I wanted to take a moment to wish you and your families a very happy and restful holiday. This is a special time of year, when we come together to celebrate new beginnings and reflect on the past year.

During the Easter break, I encourage you to take some time for yourselves and your families. Whether you're planning a staycation, a day trip, or just some quality time at home, I hope that you will find some rest and rejuvenation.

As always, our school is here to support you in any way we can. If you need any assistance or have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us and someone will get back to you when we can.

Once again, I wish you a happy and restful Easter break. Take care, stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Best wishes,

Lauren Ladd (Inclusion Lead)

Our wonderful school has managed to raise £218.71 for Comic Relief!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing community, staff, students and families/carers. You did us proud!

Congratulations to all the raffle winners as well! Lots of happy faces on the day.

Time to let you know about our next coffee morning!

On Wednesday the 19th of April we will be holding the first of two coffee mornings with a Makaton focus. These will follow the same structure as our regular coffee mornings with a session from our therapy lead before having a chance to talk to other parents and carers as well as the home school liaison team.

If you'd like to join us please drop Lauren an email on: lladd@nancealverne.org.uk.

See you soon!

6th form have been taking part in an exciting 6 part project with the Wave Project, where every Friday we are connecting with the natural world around us.

We are exploring flora and fauna, sights, sounds and smells. We have visited St Michael's Mount and the RSPB Nature reserve at Marazion so far. After half-term, we will be taking plants that we have been given by the St Michael's Mount garden team, to the Jubilee Pool gardens where we will be developing an area, to transform the space and make links with the Mount. Everyone involved has thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far.
