ISSUE 020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back for the last half-term of this academic year! We have had such a fantastic year so far and this last few weeks will be nothing less!

Next week we have our annual trip to Flambards courtesy of the Rotary club who we would like to extend our thanks to again. Everyone is really looking forward to it! If you haven't returned your permission slip to school yet please do so ASAP - if we do not have a permission slip then they will not be able to go.

We have had a change of staff in Upper Evergreens with Scott Ladd coming in as the new teacher and post -16 lead. He has introduced himself below, so please join us in welcoming him to the Nancealverne team.

Details of upcoming coffee mornings and events are also below, so please check them out - we would love to see you there.

As always - the family liaison team are always here to chat if you need us! Don't hesitate to call or email.

Best Wishes,

Lauren Ladd (Inclusion Lead)

Hello everyone,

My name is Scott and I am the new post-16 lead and class teacher in Upper Evergreens. I am excited to be working here and everyone has made me feel very welcome!

It is an exciting time at Nancealverne School who continue to offer all students a wonderful experience of education and I feel very lucky to be a part of it.

I hope to meet you all soon!

Scott.

The week before half-term Juniper class had a lovely day out, duck raving at the boating lake and having fun in the park!

We lucked out with the weather and had so much fun!

We have an upcoming coffee morning with our occupational therapist Lou Thrower.

The first of these mornings will be on the 16th May from 10am -12pm. If you are wanting to attend could you please email: lthrower@specialpartnership.org to confirm your place. We have limited spaces for this event so please book into avoid disappointment.

Thank you!

As the academic year is in full swing, we want to remind you of the importance of regular school attendance. Consistent attendance is a critical factor in your child's education.

We understand that there may be circumstances where your child cannot attend school due to illness or a family emergency. In these cases, please notify the school as soon as possible. If you know your child is going to need to be absent during school time please speak to one of the office team to get an absence request form and return it, so we can look at your request. Please note this is only for exceptional circumstances. Thank you again for your support with this.
