ISSUE 022

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a wonderful Mazey day weekend we had in the parade in Penzance. As a school we would like to thank everyone who contributed to making our wonderful float - the Cornish Chough - as well as all the headpieces and flags we adorned for the march. As usual, a proud day to be part of Team Nancealverne!

A jam-packed packed newsletter this week with information about our upcoming careers' fayre, stars of the week as well as activities week. If you require any more information or have any questions about anything then please drop the home school liaison team an email or give us a call - as usual we are more than happy to help.

Best wishes,

Lauren Ladd (Inclusion Lead)

Our careers fayre is coming up on Wednesday between 1.30 and 2.30pm. A letter has been sent home in book bags for year 9 and above however, everyone is welcome to come and have a look round/talk to the providers and employers who are coming along. It promises to be an exciting afternoon - if you are coming along, and you want to take your child home with you instead of their regular transport please let their class teacher know before Wednesday, so it can be communicated to the staff team. School will finish at the normal time.

As the academic year is in full swing, we want to remind you of the importance of regular school attendance. Consistent attendance is a critical factor in your child's education.

We understand that there may be circumstances where your child cannot attend school due to illness or a family emergency. In these cases, please notify the school as soon as possible. If you know your child is going to need to be absent during school time please speak to one of the office team to get an absence request form and return it, so we can look at your request. Please note this is only for exceptional circumstances. Thank you again for your support with this.
