Pencalenick Vacancies

Pencalenick School is part of the Special Partnership trust.

Pencalenick is situated on a beautiful site on the outskirts of Truro. We have a strongly positive ethos of  aspiration, care, challenge and quality in everything that we do. Pupils, Parents and Staff all work together at Pencalenick to ensure that life in school is enriching and memorable and that pupils are well prepared to lead a full, active and productive life.

We focus on what our pupils can do and set high standards for both academic attainment and social development.  Our learning packages are pupil focussed,  flexible,  innovative and always underpinned by relationships that are mutually respectful and caring.  The staff team are highly committed to the school and the pupils, they offer a wide range of skills and experience and are supported by the school and the SPT in accessing ongoing professional development.

We provide full access to the National Curriculum according to the needs of the pupils.  The curriculum offer is shaped to ensure pupils access a wide range of enrichment opportunities as well as clear pathways to the most appropriate accreditation for each individual  including ASDAN, entry level, functional skills and GCSE.  All pupils at the school have an EHCP –  so whatever pathway they are on it is essential that they are supported to make progress towards achieving the outcomes identified in this plan – this is achieved by ensuring they access the appropriate SEN support to enable them to achieve and progress in their learning.

Pencalenick pupils benefit from the opportunity to access our boarding provision to support the development of their  life skills, independence and social interaction.
